Florence and Venice

Day 1:Travel: JFK – Pisa, non-stop flight.

Day 2:Arrive Pisa. Meet driver, travel to Florence in luxe sedan. Check into hotel, breakfast, refresh, meet guide for private walking tour of the Baptistry, Duomo and Uffizi. Dinner: Rustic Florentine fare at along the Arno.

Day 3:Florence. Breakfast. Meet guide for personal tour of Santa Croce, Santa Maria Novella, Santa della Signoria and Piazza della Republica. Lunch with a spectacular rooftop view. Shopping along via Tournabuoni for chic must-haves. Later, a relaxing Prosecco on Piazza San Novella and dinner – a casual “best of” Florentine experience.

Day 4: Meet car and driver for guided tour to Sienna, Lucca and Pisa. Or choose a
group tour departing from the train station via coach. Return to Florence for a delicioso dinner alfresco at near Santa Croce.

Day 5: Free day to explore shops and galleries on your own. Or board a shuttle coach for primo “outlet” shopping forty-five minutes outside of Florence. Review the dayʼs spoils over yet another chilled Prosecco on Piazza della Signoria. After all that shopping, prepare to dine in true Florentine style.

Day 6: Florence to Venice by train. Early breakfast. Leave bags behind in Florence and travel with the barest of essentials to Venice. Arrive, experience a vapporetto ride to hotel stop and check in to your hotel with just enough time for a caffe on the terrace before your private guide arrives. Depart for a three hour walking tour of Venice. Take yet another vapporetto to Murano for a late afternoon espresso canal-side on this picturesque island of dazzling Venetian Glass. Dine alfresco at a true Venetian treasure, followed by true dessert experience along Piazza San Marco.

Day 7: Early breakfast before your Secret Casanova Tour. No ticket? No tour. Donʼt be late! Afterward, take the self-guided audio tour of Basilica San Marco on own. Be sure to climb to the roof for the ultimate view of Piazza San Marco, Campanile di San Marco and the Grand Canal. Treat yourself to an alfresco lunch at the Danielli, Savoy or Gritti Palace before hopping a vapporetto to visit the many churches along the canal. Donʼt forget the Gallerie dellʼAccademia and the Guggenheim museum.

Day 8: Sunbathe on the Lido and shop the Rialto boutiques before catching a return train to Florence. Check back into your Florentine hotel, leave your Venetian booty behind and venture off to a well-kept culinary secret known for its exceptional wild boar. Dessert absolutely must be savored at under the stars where people watching is paramount and the chocolate is – well, youʼll see!

Day 9: Cross the Arno via the Ponte Vecchio for a guided tour of the Pitti Palace. Savor lunch at a beautiful cafe atop Boboli Gardens for a stunning view of Florence from the other side of the Arno. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the Bardini. Later take dinner on an enchanting garden terrace on via San Niccolo.

Day 10: Travel day: Car and driver to Pisa. Fly Pisa to JFK, non-stop. Note: This is a brief excursion and, as time is of the essence, all private tours, lunch and dinner reservations, land and air arrangements will be arranged prior to departure. Better to have and cancel, than to “not have” and be turned away.
