||Pristine beaches, finger licking fried clams, steamy lobsters, comfy hotels and even more welcoming summer rentals are always available on Martha’s Vineyard. A ferry reservation for your car and family, however, may be harder to come by than accommodation and beach access. Martha’s Vineyard and, indeed, any north Atlantic beach access in the US is bracing and yet, oh, so, relaxing!
Whether you cart surfboards or pack the family wagon with fishing rods for a few weeks on Chappaquiddick, a few hours spent in the warm sand will surely recharge your batteries – just ask the Vineyarders who have been returning for generations.
Think clambakes, terrific B&B’s, fish markets and fishing boats, bicycles, antiques, clamming, kayaking, tucked away rentals, sailing, hours of baseball on the beach, football in the waves and Mad Martha’s. I mean, the ice cream at MM’s alone is worth the trip!
Pack your favorite swimsuits, summer reads and a sweater or two for chilly evenings. Be prepared to enjoy the Atlantic, rain or shine!
